Jeomed Wins ‘Pharmaceuticals and Health Products Manufacturer of the Year’ Award

Jeomed, which produces Turkey’s first and only lens solution entirely with domestic and national resources, won the “Pharmaceuticals and Health Products Manufacturer of the Year” award at the Ankara’ya Değer Katanlar (Contributors to Ankara) Awards.

The traditional award ceremony, organized by the Ankara Journalists and Writers Association (AGYD), took place on March 30, 2022, at the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) Assembly Hall.

Hosted by former beauty queen Nefise Karatay and TRT veteran news anchor Zafer Kiraz, the ceremony was attended by numerous figures from the press, bureaucracy, business, art, and social circles.

The award on behalf of Jeomed was received by Chairman of the Board Süleyman Polat. In his acceptance speech, Polat emphasized that the country is facing an economic struggle, highlighting the need for investment and employment, their enthusiasm and commitment in the health products sector, and their exports to 51 countries. Polat also noted that the company holds all necessary international certifications and has 14 patented products.

Through a public-university-industry collaboration model, Jeomed is advancing toward becoming a global brand with its innovative products in the lens solution market, which has faced an annual trade deficit of approximately $120 million.

Jeomed supports the patenting, formulation, process, and clinical studies of over 100 different products through KOSGEB and TUBITAK projects, providing innovative solutions to the health sector. The company exports its more than 100 products, protected under 14 patents, to 51 countries—including Greece, India, Russia, and the USA—proudly representing Turkey in international markets.
